What the finish costs here
Almost nobody in this market publishes a rate. Here is ours, per square metre and supplied and installed, with worked examples, so you can budget before anyone visits your home.

What moves a rate inside the span
The blend, first: premium stone sits at the top of the span, the standard families at the bottom. Then the site: slope, tight access or a pump, an old surface to break out, and ground that needs extra base all add fairly and are itemised on the quote rather than folded into a vague number. Size works the other way; larger pours spread the fixed costs thinner.
Every figure on this page is a guide until the site has been measured; the written quote that follows it is the number that holds.

Why does the rate sit in a range?
Because sites differ. The stone blend, the size of the pour, access for the truck, slope, and how much preparation the ground needs all move the number inside the published span. The range is honest; the site measure is what collapses it to one written figure.
What is included in the rate?
The whole job: excavation and preparation, compacted base, steel, the 25 MPa decorative mix, the wash, joint cutting, and two coats of sealer. The finish standard page lists the specification line by line. Council fees for a non standard crossover sit outside the rate and are itemised if they apply.
Is exposed aggregate worth the premium over plain concrete?
Plain grey is cheaper on day one. The premium buys grip in the wet, a surface that hides stains and tyre marks rather than displaying them, and street presence that plain concrete does not have. In the covenant estates the comparison is moot, since plain grey is generally not permitted there anyway.
Does a small job cost more per metre?
Usually, yes. A pour has fixed costs, crew, gear, the truck, regardless of size, so very small areas carry them across fewer metres. If you are planning a small slab alongside a future driveway or surround, pricing them together nearly always works in your favour.
